My saga will be told here. This blog is intended to be "In Character".

It has been too long since I scribed my thoughts.  I put this to parchment with the hopes that it will find all my friends in good health and cheer.  Once more am I astounded at the wondrous achievements of our good house.  I am so proud to count all of you as friends.   Our circle grows ever larger as four, albeit one very small, new members have come to join our ranks.    Dalaich, Warinius, Caroline, and Padon, you are most welcome and I look forward to many years of friendship.

My travels of late have taken me to various fairs, tournaments and gatherings around central An Tir.   I have seen many of you on the road or in our camps during this time.  Though this Saturday past was a special gift, for all but a few of us were able to attend.  As we grow it seems more difficult to get everyone together in one place.   I understand that we have many challenges to overcome, and that each person must first look after their own homestead before turning to gather in celebration. I was...

The excitement mounts across the lands as the first event of the new season approaches quickly.  The All Thing will soon be upon us!  Champions are soon to be chosen for the bountiful barony of Aquaterra.  Pride swells in my bones with the deeds of the past year.  The house of Meðelstede has made it clear to Aquaterra and the surrounding lands that we are a force to be reckoned with.  Though our army is not the most seasoned, and our artisans not the most experienced, we have shown the southern realm of An Tir that we have the resolve that is so vital to success.

My intent is to compete for the honor of being the Bardic champion of Aquaterra, performing and supporting the honorable Baron and Baroness in their court.  I welcome any warriors that have a voice to come and raise it with me for a song of battle as part of this competition.

One point of interest the Baroness made clear when I spoke with her last was the lack of competitors for the champion of games.  If anyone here fancies...

Our great house traveled to the barony of Dragonslaire to witness the crowning of the new King and Queen.  On our journey to the Port of Gamble we were forced with a decision of great import.  A body of water the size of Odins foot blocked the path most direct.  There were men working the river and for a fee they offered us and our carriage passage.  The journey around appeard to be long and treacherous, so our money we gave to the men, in hopes that they were honorable and trustworthy.  We waited with many other carriages as the ferryman took journey after journey from shore to shore.  Although we might have inquired about being granted passage before other less noble folk, we chose to stand fast until time turned to us.  Sunburned and weary from wait, we finally boarded the ferry and set sail.

We went atop the deck and enjoyed the wind!  My sons were rejuvinated in the gales that blew past as the stout ship made it's way across the waters.  As if the hours of grueling wait and lack of motion...

40 Years celebrated since the kingdom of the west was founded.  From them we wrestled our freedom with a strength of northern people hardened by long and hard winters.  The crown of AnTir has been a beacon of strength for us.  Upon arrival at the celebration festival, Arnorr and Piers and some others had already staked out the encampment and shelters.  After the household graciously helped us with our shelter and supplies, I began to feel the sting of the plague.

The next day I was bed stricken and fought off the devil plague for the next two days. On the third day I decided to take the wagon to find the apothecary to look for herbs rumored to have healing powers.  My father accompanied me to the apothecary who worked her magic on me.  I returned to my village and slept for a full week to fend off the plague that struck at my heart and lungs. By the fourth day of rest I was starting to shake the demons clutches.  The marks from the leeches were subsiding and I decided to once again journey back to the celebration. I had responsibilities looming on Saturn's day.

The rain begins to fall and I am awakened by the soft sound of water on the top of our wedge shelter.  The rest of the men are still sleeping, but the children are awake quietly raiding the food stores under the Dragonwing.  I can hear the ruslte of containers being shuffled by small hands.  It is another day at the faire.  Soon I will rise and greet our house with a smile broader than Frey's.  Our house is growing quickly, spurred by the endless depth of the wonderful people who have already been drawn to it.   Soon we will have to erect a great hall in which to gather.  Arnorr and I have been talking about this great hall for a season and a half.  We started off with a sturdy construction that woul last for many years, but soon gave way to a more portable construction idea that would produce a more portable structure.

I am not sure how big we should make the great hall.  The one thing I am sure of is that we will most likely outgrow anything we build within 2 seasons. No matter.  As our numbers...
