Last year on a whim we decided to handfast on 7/7/07, said our vows in the kitchen and urm... celebrated in the mini forest of my back yard. This year we are at the new place and we were intending on actually having some friends over for the renewal ceremony, but with the Autumn War conflict we are going to have a private observance again before I head to AW & he works Friday & Saturday.

This year there were actually pre-planned vows, something that reflects both of us, our commitment, and twisted sense of humor.  

I promise to encourage your individuality,
Because that is what makes you unique and wonderful.
I promise to nurture your dreams,
Because through them your soul shines.
I promise to help shoulder our challenges,
Because through them we'll emerge stronger.
I promise to be your partner in all things,
Not possessing you, but working with you as a part of the whole.
I promise to have your back in a gun fight when Zombies Attack
Because no animated Corpse is going to eat my baby's brains
I promise to share with you the joys of life,
Because with you they will be that much sweeter.
Lastly, I promise to you perfect love and perfect trust,
For one lifetime with you could never be enough.
I pinkie swear to you, my equal in all things.

Together we laugh, we dream, we love, and on this day,
we bind ourselves together, for so long as love shall last.
