It is time once again for the Gremlin's Annual Polidori Party!
For those unfammiliar with John Polidori the condensed version goes vaguely like this: He was a victorian aristocratic sloucher that threw great parties where everyone spent the day drinking absinth, smoking opium and writing short stories that they would read to eachother that evening to try to scare the snot of out of their fellow junkies... Some famous stories that came from Polidori's parties include: The Vampyre, Frankenstein, Fragment of a Ghost Story, and several of Lord Byron's short pieces.
Now the Gremlins Polidori Party is minus the drugs and booze.. though a few bottles do tend to quiety appear on a table. Participants are very much welcome as are audience members. Basically we just get together and read short stories/poetry/stuff whether you wrote it or not.... with holloween right around the corner the stories tend to be on the darker side, but it is not always the case.
